The former 3SC goalkeeper, Emmanuel Daniel told News24 that
the team went through a lot of challenges but after the slim victory over Mali
and a 2-2 draw with Egypt, everyone in the squad made up their mind to succeed.
"We went through a lot of challenges prior to the
competition but the coaches did their best to motivate us and give some sort of
confidence but individually we struggled to build such strong confidence."
"But after the first matches where we conceded those
goals I think everyone in the team had to just find the right determination not
to give up. We build up the courage not to lose a match, at least if we don't
