two friendly matches and lived up to expectations as both the new and old

However, it said that corrections would be made on observed
lapses from the two friendly games to reflect in subsequent matches.

pre-season was an avenue to sharpen the fitness of the old players and blend
the skills of the new with the team’s philosophy.
