Enyimba boss Ikhana debunks exit rumours

04 December 2015, 12:06

Abuja - Coach Kadiri Ikhana insists he is happy at Enyimba International FC and has no intention of quitting as speculated in some sections of the Nigerian media.

Reports suggests that the former Kwara United and Nasarawa United gaffer might not tinker the 2014/15 Nigeria Professional Football League winners in the next domestic campaign.

But Ikhana after making assurances to the club's management told Jude Ochang of Magic FM, Aba, and the idea of quitting has not crossed his mind.

“The reports are not true and fake, I am staying with Enyimba,” he said.

“I have not spoken to anybody, except the chairman and some staffs. I'm still with Enyimba,” the ex-Giwa FC coach said.

“I don’t know where the (reports) are coming from because I have not made any application to leave a club that I have achieved so much success.

“I have a contract with Enyimba so I stay here.”

Ikhana has been given permission to travel for the Christmas festivities and is expected back by early 2016.
