Enyimba confirms hiring Aminu as coach

29 December 2015, 11:01

Abuja - Reigning Nigeria Professional Football League champions Enyimba Football Club have confirmed the signing of Aminu Musa as an assistant coach for the 2015/2016 season, News24 can report.

The Aba-based club are currently undergoing a major shake-up of their technical bench after they parted ways with most of their coaches including Kadiri Ikhana in the past week.

Enyimba captured their seventh league title in the previous season and will be hoping to make a lasting impression in the 2016 CAF Champions League.

Aminu Musa was the former head coach to Giwa FC last season in the top flight.

Enyimba FC spokesperson Farriel Allaputa announced the appointment via Twitter and stated that the 46-year-old coach would resume work for the People's Elephants immediately.

“We have signed Aminu Musa to be our assistant coach for next season,” the club's spokesperson Farriel Allaputa wrote on his twitter handle.

“We hope to perform well in all competitions in 2016 and we are confident that coach Musa will be a part of that project,” he concluded.
