Toulouse - Toulouse's ropy pitch is to undergo sunbed
therapy to ensure conditions underfoot are suitable to host Euro 2016 games in
June, the Ligue 1 side said on Thursday.
The state of the grass at the city's ground has caused
concern over the winter, with Paris Saint-Germain coach Laurent Blanc the
latest to criticise it last weekend.
A three-month session of light therapy will help to densify
the turf and improve seed growth in time for the first of four European
championship games at the Pink City's stadium which was built for the 1938

"We are making efforts to be able to offer a
satisfactory pitch for clubs and to prepare smoothly for Euro 2016," said
Toulouse mayor Jean-Luc Moudenc.
He added that the operation should take "three months.
European champions Spain begin the defence of their title at
Toulouse against the Czech Republic on June 13.
Italy, winners of the 1938 World Cup, take on Sweden four
days later, followed by Russia against Wales on June 20, and then one round of
16 match will also be played there.For
