Gbenga Arokoyo wants Super Eagles debut at the right time

23 December 2015, 13:35

Abuja - Former Flying Eagles defender, Gbenga Arokoyo, who now plays in the Turkish Super league for Gaziantepspor, has revealed that he'll focus on his game while hopes to get a Super Eagles call-up at the right time.

A proud Kwara United ex-defender, Arokoyo was named in the team of the week due to his impressive performance when his club, Gaziantepspor secured a 2-0 win over Super Eagles defender, Godfrey Oboabona's Rizespor.

Arokoyo created an assist for Daniel Larsson for the first goal early in the match while country man, John Chibuike also set up Orkan Cinar for the second goal.

"It feels good to be named in the team of the week, hard work pays. Jesus Christ is my only secret, “Arokoyo told News24.

The former junior international, Gbenga Arokoyo reply was simple when News24 asked him if he's worried not to have been called up to Super Eagles despite his impressive performances.

"No, I'm not worried, I'm waiting for God's perfect time," Arokoyo said.
