Lagos - Giwa FC have been banished from the Nigeria Premier
League for the 2015/16 football season after failing to honour three games, Sportdaylive
The League Management Company (LMC) made the announcement on
Friday, saying Giwa FC did not honour the ties against Wikki Tourists, Akwa
United and Enyimba.
They are also to pay a fine of N10m to the LMC for failing
to honour the game against Enyimba. And also a fine of N250k as expenses for
stadium hire, security and other logistics incurred for the same match.

The LMC said Giwa FC have 48 hours to appeal the ban.
LMC also said it has notified all club chairmen that Giwa FC
has been expelled from the ?NPFL,
and also said all clubs that have played Giwa FC to date will be fairly
compensated in proportional basis.
According to a News24
report recently, Giwa FC were fined N2m among other charges for fans trouble in
their match against Enugu Rangers in Jos on April 17.
