Golden Eaglets doctor Olarinoye to be honoured

Abuja - Dr. Ayodeji Olarinoye, Team Doctor of Nigeria's FIFA U-17 World Cup-winning teams of 2013 and 2015, would be cynosure of all eyes at the forthcoming Nigeria Medical Association Awards Ceremony in Abuja.

The event would be held on Thursday at Nigeria Turkish Nile University Auditorium Jabi, Abuja.

According to the Abuja Branch of the NMA, Olarinoye will be honoured for his meritorious service to the country and professionalism he brought to bear in the discharge of duties while on national assignment.

Noted the NMA in its invitation message to Olarinoye: "You are being specially recognized as the Team Doctor to the 2013 & 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup-winning teams and for the National Honour bestowed on you."

Olarinoye who is currently on a training tour of Cotonou with the National Beach Volleyball Team, said the recognition was humbling and a challenge to be more diligent in the discharge of his duties.

"I'm very happy about this recognition particularly coming from a professional body like the NMA. Though I'm presently in Cotonou, my wife will represent me at the event."
