Ighalo heading to Arsenal?

09 January 2016, 15:00Israel Ojoko

London - Watford striker Odion Ighalo could be heading to Arsenal at the end of the season after the London club have shown interest in the player.

The Nigeria international has recently suggested that he would stay put at the Hornets unless he receives an exceptional offer from his dream club Manchester United.

However, The Mail understands that the Gunners scouts have been closely monitoring Ighalo's proceedings and regard the player as the perfect fit for the club.

It is added that the club could come up with a substantial offer for the 26-year-old in the summer.

Ighalo, who has netted 14 goals in 20 outings for his side this season, has earlier told The Sun "I don't think I will be moving but I'm not sure I'd say no if United called. They were my team growing up. I loved watching Andy Cole and Dwight Yorke on TV.

"They were my idols and playing at Old Trafford has always been a dream."
