Ighalo, Onazi joins Iwobi, Iheanacho in Super Eagles camp

Abuja - Watford striker Odion Ighalo and Trabzonspor central midfielder Ogenyi Onazi have arrived the camp of the Super Eagles in Abuja ahead of Saturday’s 2018 World Cup qualifier against Algeria.

Also in camp are Arsenal’s Alex Iwobi, Manchester City’s Kelechi Iheanacho, goalkeepers Daniel Akpeyi and Ikechukwu Ezenwa, and Musa Muhammed.

Nigeria, who tops the group after a 2-1 away victory over Zambia in the first game, will host Algeria on Saturday in Uyo.

Technical Adviser Gernot Rohr is expected to train the full squad on Tuesday as other players arrive on Monday night.

News24 reported that ahead of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier, the Super Eagles can boast of a better record over Algeria.

Out of 17 meeting between Nigeria and Algeria, the Super Eagles have won eight times, losing six times and drawn three.
