Lagos - Ikorodu United coach Edema Benson is worried over
the scarcity of goals from his attackers.
After four Nigeria Premier League games so far, Ikorodu
United has only managed to score two and conceded two.
They played a 1-1 draw with Abia Warriors in the game of the
season, before beating Lobi Stars 1-0 at the Onikan Stadium. In their third
game of the season, they lost 1-0 away to Enyimba before playing a goalless
draw against MFM FC in a Lagos derby.
Benson said he strategized to score in the game but his
attackers were not forthcoming.

“I took one midfielder out and brought in an attacker
whether we can capitalize on the red card, making five forwards, but it’s just
like that in football, you win, lose or draw.
“My defense line is OK but I have to work on the strikers,
we’ve played four matches and conceded two goals. We have a lot of work to do
on the attack.”
“We were ready to play but it wasn’t our day. But we are
still on top of it, we’ve only lost one game, which was away against Enyimba.
Ikorodu United’s next two fixtures against Akwa United and
FC IfeanyiUbah will be played away from home, but the coach is still confident.
“Our next two games are away fixtures but I’m confident
we’ll get good results.”For
