Abuja - The meeting called by Minister of Youth and Sports Solomon Dalung to resolve the crisis in the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation between President Amaju Pinnick and chairman of GIwa FC Chris Giwa, ended in a stalemate.
News24 can report that the aggrieved parties have been asked to return to status quo, pending when the minister will finally find a solution to the leadership problem.
Giwa who contested the 2014 NFF presidential election against Pinnick. Two elections were held in two different venues in Abuja, with each of them winning in their venues.

The crisis was however laid to rest for a while until the new Sports Minister was appointed.
After the heated crisis resolution meeting on Wednesday, Dalung said the gathering was worth it.
“They discussed, they exchanged pleasantries with eachother. Football is a very big family, they have to move together so that they can mobilized investments because as it is football is already rising, the status of Nigeria football is rising, our players are making us proud so they have no reason not to agree with eachother,” Dalung said after the meeting.
