Lagos - Niger Tornadoes have shifted their focus to the
Nigeria Premier League MatchDay 11 tie against Akwa United on Sunday, after a
2-2 draw with Sunshine Stars.
Tornadoes left back Gabriel Wassa has said his side's
midweek draw against Sunshine Stars will not stop them from picking up three
points at Akwa United, SuperSport reports.
The newcomers will be the guests of Promise Keepers in
Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) match-day 11 clash at the
Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Wassa, who blamed missed chances at goal for the shared
spoils against the Owena Waves, said his side will make the necessary
amendments for the road-trip tie at Akwa United.

“I’m not happy with the 2-2 draw against Sunshine Stars but
to God be the glory that we did not lose all three points in the game.
“We were not sharp in attack and there were some defensive
blunders but all that is behind us now.
“We just have to remain focused and correct our mistakes
going into Sunday's clash at Akwa United in Uyo.
“I know the encounter will be very difficult given the poor
result the home side posted against visiting Abia Warriors, but I’m confident
we will get the right result.
