Nigerian youngster Uzor impressed with quality of Liga Leumit

Lagos - Nigerian youngster Nnaemeka Uzor says he is impressed by the quality of the Israeli Second Tier Division after netting five goals in all competitions in the colours of Hapoel Nir Ramat HaSharon.

The 19-year-old joined the Liga Leumit club from Cypriot - Turkish club L.Gençler Birligi SK during the summer transfer period.

The move was to give the talented striker more exposure and experience with regular European football.

Emeka is raving over the quality of the Israeli League after scoring sixteen goals in the lesser known Cypriot - Turkish League.

“The league in Israel is actually very high than I expected, we have very young players in the league with great talents and that cannot be said of some of the leagues in Europe,” he told News24.

“I am happy to be starting more games. I have to continue the hard work to keep a position.

“Hapoel Nir Ramat HaSharon is a nice club and I have a good relationship with the coach and he is helping me a lot.”
