Lagos - Enugu Rangers remained top of the Nigeria Premier
table after week eight matches despite suffering a 3-1 loss to Lobi Stars on Wednesday.
Rangers’ 14 points from eight games was still enough to
sustain their top spot. However, MFM FC share same number of points (14) with
the Enugu side, but the Eastern Nigerian club lead with superior goal
MFM FC played out an interesting 1-1 draw with Kano Pillars
in a pulsating encounter at the Agege Stadium in Lagos.
Lobi Stars now moved to the third position on the table with
13 points, and so is FC IfeanyiUbah who still has a game in hand after beating
Heartland 1-0 on Wednesday.
Niger Tornadoes compound Shooting Stars woes, beating the
Ibadan club 1-0. Three games produced a barren draw, with Abia Warriors 0-0
Wikki Tourists, Warri Wolves holding Akwa United, and Rivers United unable to
go past a struggling Sunshine Stars.
