Lagos - Super Eagles forward Gbolahan Salami has advised his
home based counterparts to take advantage of their present stint with the team
as they may not always get such opportunities.
Speaking from the team’s Abuja camp before they went on a
two-day Christmas break, Salami, who is now a constant figure in the regular
Super Eagles team as well as playing for the home based, says his teammates
must always take their opportunities with the national team.

“It is not every day that people get such opportunities to
get invited to the Super Eagles and when that happens, they have to take
advantage of it,” he said.
“We have to take this opportunity because future invitations
will also largely depend on how we perform here.
“It is not always easy but it is something we must do if we
want to keep getting such opportunities and I hope the other players understand
that too,” he added.
The team will resume on the 28th, and train for a few more
days before they leave for Pretoria, South Africa where they will camp before
leaving for Rwanda for the 2016 CHAN tournament. For
