Sunshine Stars in talk with Unuanel

Abuja - Sunshine Stars have opened talks with former Enyimba International FC head coach, Samson Unuanel to bolster their technical bench.

The Nigeria Professional Football League side want to bring in a more professional hand in order to battle for the title in the 2015/16 season.

Sunshine Stars remains confident of mounting a serious challenge in the next top flight season after collapsing at the business end of the 2014/15 campaign.

The Owena Waves are nevertheless pushing on with talks with Unuanel who has also tinkered Ocean Boys, Niger Tornadoes, Prime FC and Kwara United in his coaching career.

“I can confirm we are in talks with coach Unuanel,” a top official of the Akure-based team told News24.

“He is a very good coach who was trained in Germany. We will continue to review his CV and take a decision soon.

If talks are fruitful, the Edo-born coach will takeover from Kennedy Boboye, who resigned at the end of last season.
