Super Eagles’ doctor for FIFA conference

07 April 2016, 18:02

Lagos - Super Eagles team doctor Ibrahim Gyaran has expressed gratitude to the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports as well as the Nigeria Football Federation for facilitating his attendance of the FIFA/Isokinetic conference in London.

The conference holds between April 9-11 and has as its theme 'Return to play in Footballers', an emphasis on the complete recovery and return to full match fitness of injured players.

Gyaran said the conference will help him to keep abreast of new findings and methods in medicine that will make him more effective on his job.

"The field of medicine is constantly evolving, there are new findings and more modern methods of work discovered every time so we have to be abreast of all these things on a regular basis," Gyaran said.

He added: "This also explains why I want to always appreciate the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports and the Nigeria Football Federation for facilitating my attendance of such conferences. It goes a long way in helping me become more knowledgeable and effective in the discharge of my responsibilities as the Super Eagles doctor," he added.
