30 December 2015, 14:50Israel Ojoko

Abuja - Super Eagles striker Gbolahan Salami is yet to resume the team camp in Abuja after a Christmas break.

The players were asked to resume camp on December 28 so they can have more trainings ahead of their trip to South Africa on January 2.

But as at December 30, the Warri Wolves forward is yet to resume camp.

Team coordinator, Patrick Pascal said on a radio programme on Wednesday that the development is a cause for concern, as effort to reach him proved abortive.

Salami had on December 26, advised his home based counterparts to take advantage of their present stint with the Super Eagles team as they may not always get such opportunities.

“It is not every day that people get such opportunities to get invited to the Super Eagles and when that happens, they have to take advantage of it,” he said.

The 25-year-old forward was the top scorer of the 2015 NPFL season.
