Copenhagen - Super Eagles midfielder Izunna Uzochukwu‎ has finally left his Russian club Amkar Perm six months after joining the side on a free transfer, and is set to sign for OB Odense on Monday.

Uzochukwu is currently in Denmark to complete his move to OB Odense.

The Nigerian player whose initial attempt was stalled by Amkar Perm in December disclosed that he hopes to seal his move away from the Russian side by Monday (today) after he was permitted to discuss personal terms with the Danish side.

The 25 year old further stated that his exit from the club is solely on football reasons.

"I'm in Denmark to complete my move to Odense.

"I need to play more regularly to improve in my game and enhance my chances of featuring in the national team.

"That's why I'm seeking a move away and it should be completed by Monday."

Odense are currently seventh on the Danish Super Liga.

Uzochukwu, a former FC Ebiedei and Midtjylland star, has played 11 games for Amkar in all competitions before the winter break.
