Super Eagles winger Simon weds

Ibadan - Super Eagles and KAA Gent winger Moses Simon has tied the nuptial knot with his long time date Ibukun Sarah Adenuga on Tuesday in Ibadan.

The event that took place at the Ibadan Civic centre.

Speaking at the event, Simon said "I have longed for this day to come, i really thank Almighty God who has made this day to come at last. It is a thing of joy to finally marry my beloved wife. I'm sure God has a reason he has brought us together."

Simon who plays for KAA Gent in the Belgian Jupiler League thanked the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation and Coach Sunday Oliseh for giving him the opportunity to feature for the National team.

Former Super Eagles star Tijani Babangida, who is Special Adviser to Super Eagles Coach Sunday Oliseh, Super Eagles Media Officer Toyin Ibitoye, and Russia based Super Eagles midfielder Sylvester Igbonu were all present. Others who graced the occasion were Major League Soccer based Rasheed Olabiyi, AS Trencin of Slovakia's Kingsley Madu, Sunshine Stars FC defender Benjamin Francis and Warri Wolves' Joshua Obaje.

Simon has been an integral member of Coach Sunday Oliseh's Super Eagles team and has scored three goals in seven appearances for the Eagles.
