Super Falcons drawv2-2 against Abees Academy

Abuja - Reigning African champions Super Falcons played 2-2 against Abees Academy of FCT in a friendly match on Wednesday.

The match, played at the National Stadium, Abuja was part of Falcons’ build up for African Women Championship (AWC), billed for Cameroon from Nov. 19 to Dec. 3.

Damilola Majaru opened scoring for the Academy with a first half brace in 11 and 24th minutes of play.

The game featured Asisat Oshola and Francisca Ordega among others who ply their trade abroad.

Florence Omagbemi, Coach of Falcons lauded their opponents, stating that they were a very good side. “Abees Academy is a young team, but they are a very good side.

“I also appreciate my team for the effort they put up today. We are still building up and with all the players in camp now, we will work better”, she said.

On her part, Bilikis Tijani, assistant coach of Abees also praised her team’s efforts.
