London - Kelechi Iheanacho is thankful to fans of Manchester City, saying it was a fantastic season for him at the Etihad stadium, Sportdaylive reports.
Iheanacho scored 15 goals for City in his first season of active football at a top club, including a goal that saw his side draw Swansea 1-1 in the final game of the season to book a ticket to the UEFA Champions League next season.
The player took to twitter to thank his fans, with a photo of him giving a hug to a supporter.
“Thanks you to all the @MCFC fans for all your support. You made my first season a fantastic one. Have a great summer,” he wrote on twitter.
According to Pulse, rival Manchester United will need to win their last game by 19 goals to qualify for the Champions League ahead of Manchester City.
