Lagos - Well respected football coach Samson Unuanel has
urged corporate bodies to invest in women football in Nigeria.
According to him, "Corporate firms should have key and
keen strategic plans towards the revival of women football in Nigeria."
This the former Ocean Boys gaffer noted, "will be done
in accordance with corporate bodies since government alone can note bring about
the due and expectant change to women football."

In a chat with News24, he revealed that, "under the
sports bill, businesses and institutions which will invest in sports will enjoy
series of tax and import rebates. The women have really tried their best in the
history of football in the country. I must commend their efforts towards making
the nation proud.''
''But a lot is still left to be desired in terms of
supporting their programmes. The government should not be left alone to fund
their activities,'' the ex-Super Falcons assistant coach stated.
''Sports is a profitable business, I think the corporate
bodies should support the ladies with funding and they won't regret it.''
