Victor Moses, Iheanacho battle to 2-2 draw

23 January 2016, 21:46Israel Ojoko

London - Super Eagles duo of Victor Moses and Kelechi Iheanacho were instrumental for West Ham United and Manchester City respectively in a 2-2 draw on Saturday.

Enner Valencia scored for West Ham seconds after the blast of the whistle, but Sergio Aguero would cancel that goal with a penalty just eight minutes after to end the first half 1-1.

After the break, Moses was a 65th minute substitute for Michail Antonio, and 11 minutes after, Iheanacho was also thrown into the fray, replacing Fabian Delph.

That will be Moses’ second game since returning from injury.

The former Wigan Athletic winger is on-loan at Upton Park from Chelsea and had a fairly decent run before injuring his hamstring on December 5, 2015 against Manchester United.

Valencia would go on to score the second goal for West Ham in the second half, and Iheanacho provided the assist for Aguero to get a brace.

The latest result means Manchester City are second, three points behind Leicester, while West Ham are sixth.
