London - English Premier League club West Ham United is
closing in on the signature of striker Emmanuel Emenike.
Emenike, who was the top scorer at the Africa Cup of Nations
won by Nigeria in 2013, is currently playing for Al Ain in the United Arab
According to Eyefootball, the Hammers have followed up the
signing of Sam Byram by lodging a temporary move for Emenike, whose arrangement
is being finalized to join the premiership club on a short-term loan.

The 28-year old, who would welcome the prospect of joining
the East London side as he seeks to test himself in the Premier League, has
amassed nine goals in all competitions for Al Ain this term.
If the deal pulls through, Emenike will be joining compatriot
Victor Moses at Upton Park.
