West Ham to dump Victor Moses, Emenike in summer

04 April 2016, 20:36Israel Ojoko

London - English Premier League club West Ham United will not offer permanent contracts to Nigeria duo of Victor Moses and Emmanuel Emenike at the end of the season.

Moses joined the Hammers on loan from Chelsea at the start of the season, and had a great beginning, starting 11 matches and scoring in the 2-1 victory over Manchester City.

Moses’ career was however hampered by a hamstring injury in the goalless draw with Manchester United in December which saw him miss six weeks of the season and he has not started in the Premier League since.

Emenike also joined on loan from Al Ain in January and has scored two goals, both at the FA Cup, in nine appearances.

According to Sky Sports report, the Nigerian duo, alongside Cameroon’s Alex Song, will be allowed to leave when they complete their loan deals at the end of the season.

However, West Ham is hoping to sign Odion Ighalo from Watford to fill in the vacuum.

The Nigeria international has scored 14 EPL goals for Watford this season, though he has struggled since January.
