Atlanta - Four players made their Super Eagles debut in an
international friendly against Mexico that ended goalless in the United States.
Keshi named Michael Uchebo in the starting line-up, and
brought in Leon Balogun, Ramon Azeez and Imoh Ezekiel in the second half to
ensure the quartet are now fully Nigeria internationals.
Both Nigeria and Mexico used the friendly to kick-start
their 2014 World Cup preparations
Nigeria had the better of chances in the first 20 minutes of
play but a weak attack line led by Emmanuel Emenike did not produce any result
as the game balanced up till the end of the first half.
Mexico got back better in the second half but their offenses
met an experience goalkeeping in Austin Ejide.
Most of the Super Eagles players look match-rusty and will
need time together to blend well as a team that won the 2013 Africa Cup of
