Lagos - The Athletic Federation of Nigeria (AFN) has handed a six-month suspension to sprinter Gloria Asumnu over unruly behavior during and after the 14th IAAF World Athletics Championship held in Moscow in August.
According to MSN Sport, the suspension took effect from August 2013 and will last until February 2014.
AFN's head of communication and media, Olukayode Thomas, said the ban covers all national and international competitions.
Asumnu is expected to tender an apology to the AFN before her suspension is over.
