Lagos - With the Commonwealth Games around the corner,
Nigeria’s assistant national boxing coach Adura Olalehin has promised to bring
home a few gold medals.
Olalehin is confident his team of pugilists will fare well
at the Games, which take place in Glasgow, Scotland.
“I’m targeting nothing but gold medals,” revealed the
“I couldn’t win it as a boxer but as a coach, I aim to bring
it to Nigeria with the team of boxers we have. We are travelling today (Monday)
with three women and eight men boxers.”
Olalehin participated in the 2006 Melbourne
Games and won a silver medal. The first bouts are scheduled for July 23 and
Olalehin has promised the team will not disappoint.
