Lagos - As the 2015 All Africa Games approaches, Nigerian
table tennis superstar Offiong Edem has promised fans that she will try her utmost
best to get a medal in Brazzaville, Congo when the tournament gets underway in
Edem, who won a total of three gold medals at 2011 AAG in
Maputo, said although she is under different circumstances this time round, she
will be hoping that she can defend her titles.

"A lot of things have happened in recent times but they
are now behind me as I want to ensure that I defend the title I won in
2011," Edem told punchng.com.
"Table tennis has developed a lot from what it was
then, but I am prepared to face any opponents in Brazzaville."
On her opponents, the Nigerian table tennis star knows that
there will be tough competition in Congo but she is confident that she can do
the job and beat them.
"Congo and Egypt are very technical sides and they will
pose tough challenge for Nigeria," she said.
"But I am prepared for them. I have learnt a lot from
my coaches. Beating them won’t come easy but I will not disappoint
