Abuja - Blessing Okagbare said she felt “blessed” to be the first Nigerian to win two medals at the Athletics World Championships on Sunday.
Okagbare achieved this feat when she won bronze in the 200m and silver in the long jump at the 2013 IAAF World Championships in Moscow on Sunday.
"Two medals in the World Championships is worth celebrating. I celebrate with thanks to God,” Okagbare said.
“Oh God, this is great. I feel blessed. It was tiring coming from six jumps to do the 100m. It affected me. But that's over and with a medal in the 200m how can one complain?”
