Lagos - Blessing Okagbare will be targeting the long jump
discipline at the Lausanne leg of the IAAF Diamond League, which kicks off on
Thursday in Switzerland.
The Nigerian superstar, who has been focused on the 100m and
200m events, has not participated in the long jump since the 2013 World
Championships in Monaco where she jumped 7.00m.

Okagabare is coming off a silver medal in the 100m in Paris.
Her 10.80s run was enough for second place behind Shelley-Ann Fraser-Pryce of
The Nigerian will face stiff competition from America’s
Tianna Bartoletta, who has a season best of 7.12m, while her teammate Deloach
Janay has jumped 6.95m in the past.For
