Lagos - The Nigerian Wrestling Federation (NWF) has promised
to return from the up-coming All Africa Games with no less than six gold
Daniel Igali, president of the NWF, told the News Agency of
Nigeria that the wrestlers would exceed their record medal haul at the 2007 All
Africa Games in Algiers, Algeria.

“In Algeria we won six gold and four bronze medals. We want
to make it happen again. The team is working very hard to achieve this target,”
“They have been in camp for the past four weeks in
preparation for the event. We will come out victorious.”
The NWF recently completed trials for the national wrestling
team and named a 12-member squad made up of five male Grecco-Roman wrestlers,
eight male freestyle wrestlers and eight female wrestlers.
The All Africa Games will take place from September 4 to
September 19 in Brazzaville, Congo.For
