Lagos - Aruna Quadri has soared from No. 40 to No. 25 in his
best table tennis world ranking released by the International Table Tennis
Federation (ITTF), Complete Sports report.
The points of the Olympian rose from 2305 in August to 2457
to become the first player in Africa to be rated in the top 25 in the world.
News24 reported that Quadri emerged the first African ever
to make it to the quarter finals of the men’s single table tennis event at the
Olympics, a feat he achieved in Rio in August.

Another Nigerian star Segun Toriola, was rewarded for his
effort in Rio as the seven-time Olympian moved from 120 to 106 in the latest ranking.For
