Lagos - The Minister of Youth and Sports Barrister Solomon
Dalung is expected to visit the Lagos City Marathon office located at the
Teslim Balogun Stadium on Monday January 4, 2016 to among other things sign-on
for the race.
Special Adviser to the Minister on Media, Nneka Ikem Anibeze
said in a press statement that Chairman Lagos State Sports Commission, Deji
Tinubu will receive the Minister at the Lagos City marathon office.
The Access Bank Lagos City Marathon is already gathering
momentum as athletes in Nigeria and across the world are showing great
enthusiasm at being part of the first full international marathon race in
Nigeria in recent times.

The maiden edition of the Lagos City Marathon is scheduled
for February 6.
Organisers have announced that the winners of both the men
and women’s events will go home with $50 000 each, while second and third place
finishers will take $40 000 and $30 000 respectively.
The top 20 Nigerians will also be rewarded win cash prizes
starting from N1 million, while the second and third positions will settle for
N750 000 and N500 000 respectively.For
