New badminton court commissioned in Abuja

Abuja – The newly built badminton court in Abuja has been commissioned.

The multi-purpose court which has been equipped with some modern facilities to accommodate other sporting disciplines is part of the numerous project of the FCT badminton association.

Chairman of the FCT badminton association Gabriel Gbayan stated that the commissioning of the new court is part of the FCT badminton association contribution to the development of the game, especially in the north central zone.

Gbayan acknowledged the valuable help offered by friends and supporters of the game, admitting that without them the sport would have be stagnant.

He stressed the need for corporate sponsorship to further promote the game within the country.

The new badminton court is situated at Wembley Garden, Apo in FCT, Abuja.
