Lagos - There is tense anticipation as the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) will on Tuesday announce a list of selected athletes for the Rio 2016 Olympics.
The athletes, who some of them are not sure whether they will make the trip to Brazil, will be picked following their performance at the concluded Olympics Trials in Sapele.
However, those who have already sealed a place in Nigeria’s contingent to Brazil include sprinter Blessing Okagbare, Gloria Asumnu and Ogho-Oghene Egwero.
Others are Diving Ejowvokoghene Oduduru, Seye Ogunlewe, Emmanuel Gyang and Deborah Pam.

According to report reaching News24, the comprehensive list, which has been expected since Saturday, will now be released by the AFN on Tuesday.
Some of the foreign based athletes who were in Sapele for the trials, have left the country to return to their base.
The Rio 2016 Olympics begin on August 5, and will hold till the 21st.
