Sapele: Emmanuel Gyang of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has on Friday won the 10km men’s race at the Nigeria Olympics Trials taking place in Sapele.
Gyang finished first with a time of 31:31:58. He is trailed by Solomon Yilbam whi finished with a time of 32:05:19.
Daylong Sylvester of Nigeria Immigration came third with a time of 32:29:71, while Rotgap Michael came close with a time of 32: 33:78 on fourth position.

In the women’s 10km earlier run, Deborah Pam, also of NSCDC, won the race with a time of 36:53:73, while Olamide Oluwaseun came second on 37:25:17.
Olumide Aderonke finished third, racing a time of 37:48:24, while Nuhu Elizabeth of Nigeria Customs finished with a time of 38:09:69
According to information reaching news24, the first four men and the top three women will represent Nigeria in the 10km men and women race at the Rio Olympics.
