The two countries have clashed four times in the past. Sweden won two, Nigeria won one, while the fourth ended in a draw.

Nigeria is currently leading group B with three points after the first round of matches.

Against all odds, the country defeated Japan 5-4 in its opening match on Thursday.

Earlier on Thursday, Colombia and Sweden had drawn 2-2 in another Group B match.

Nigeria  will qualify for the quarters if they overcome Sweden.

Player to watch:

With an incredible four goals in Thursday’s clash, all eyes are on Oghenekaro Etebo.
