Lagos - Sports Minister Solomon Dalung has set medals target
for Team Nigeria to the Rio 2016 Olympics in Brazil.
Dalung said Nigeria is targeting ten medals when the
tournament gets underway in August.
“We are targeting 10 medals in Rio, but at least we should
win five medals.” Dalung said.

He however did not state the kind of medals, whether gold
silver or bronze.
News24 reported that the Athletics Federation of Nigeria
named Blessing Okagbare, Gloria Asumnu, Seye Ogunlewe, Egwero Ogho-Oghene and
Divine Oduduru in the list of athletes that will represent Nigeria in Rio.
The Rio 2016 Olympics begin on August 5 and ends on the 21st.
It could be recalled that athletes and officials have
lamented the lack of funds to train ahead of the Games, and some have admitted
that Nigeria has no hope of winning a medal.For
