20 May 2016, 20:35

Bulawayo - A 4-year-old Zimbabwean girl miraculously survived two cold nights in a forest infested with some most dangerous animals after she got lost on her way from school, a report said on Friday.

According to the state-owned Chronicle newspaper, Ntokozo Mabhena, 4, was found sleeping near a tree in a forest that is home to predators such as Hyenas, Leopards and poisonous snakes.

At least 100 villagers, together with seven police officers and their sniffer dogs went on a search party after the toddler went missing after school on Friday last week.

According to the young girl’s family, they had already given up hope of founding her alive as they feared the worst due to the predator animals found in the forest.

The girl’s grandmother Lizzy Dumani had to be rushed to hospital when she finally saw her granddaughter alive.

This came just less than six months after another four-year-old boy, who went missing under mysterious circumstances was found after a four-day search.

According to My Zimbabwe, the boy was found alive, lying naked on top of his uncle’s grave, a few metres away from his home.

The incident which was reportedly still the talk of the village happened  in January at Sivalo village in Nkayi,Matabeleland North.
