Sao Paulo - Officials said a large fire is roaring through at least three warehouses belonging to Brazil's largest sugar and ethanol co-operatives in the port of Santos.
Codesp, the government run agency that operates Latin America's biggest port, said the blaze started early on Friday in a sugar warehouse belonging to the sugar co-operative Copersucar.
The agency says further details about the fire were not immediately available.
Local media reports that at least three people have been injured in one of the warehouses, and rushed to a nearby hospital.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
