Bucharest - Flash floods in eastern Romania have killed at least four people, including a child, local authorities said on Thursday.
Two rivers in the easter Galati region overflowed after overnight downpours, said the local prefecture.
"Four people died in the floods including a eight-year old girl in the village of Cudalbi", Petrica Patilea, the spokesperson for the Galati prefecture told AFP. One person was reported missing.
More than 300 people have been evacuated, according to the ministry for internal affairs.
