Lagos – A natural medicine that is commonly used in Peru is composed mainly of blended frogs which locals believe can cure many afflictions from asthma to low sex drive, Huffington Post reports.
Store vendor, Maria Elena Cruz, has revealed to Huffington Post that she takes frogs, kills them by knocking it’s head on a countertop, and then proceeds to peel off its’ skin, drop it into a blender with carrots, Peruvian maca root and honey. The end product is served to Cruz’s customers in glasses.

Cruz claims that frog juice is known for helping with bronchitis, stress, fatigue and sometimes tuberculosis.
The Dean of the Medical College of Lima, Dr. Tomy Villanueva, has said there is no scientific evidence to prove that the frog juice cures any afflictions.
