Man poses as fake twin brother to get out of driving ticket

Lagos – A man from New Jersey, USA, allegedly pretended to be his own blind twin brother in order to delay the court proceedings on his overdue driving tickets, Huffington Post reports.

Olawale Agoro, 58, had received five summonses during a traffic stop in July but at his court appearance in September he claimed to be his twin brother ‘Tony’. ‘Tony’ claimed that Agoro wasin Nigeria to mourn the death of their father.

A warrant was issued for his arrest and after ‘Tony’ contested it again the court clerks became suspicious and researched the issue with the authorities who discover hat ‘Tony ‘ was really Agoro, as there was no record of a ‘Tony’ in the system and he shared a birth to what Agoro sports on his driver’s licence.

Agoro is now being charged with false swearing, hindering apprehension and resisting arrest.
