Medellin - The decapitated bodies of four youths have been found in Colombia, a newspaper reported on Saturday.
A farmer discovered the bodies of the youths between the ages of 15 and 17 near the town of El Penol in Antioquia, El Tiempo newspaper reported.
"The investigation already has begun. The youths were struck in the head. There were no shots fired," said Santiago Londono, a spokesperson for the provincial government, according to El Tiempo.
The motive for the attack was unclear, but officials haven't ruled out a connection between the killings and organised crime. Gangs involved in the illicit drug trade however usually don't decapitate their victims.
