Wife set alight by groom a day after their wedding

Abuja - A 30-year-old man poured an alcoholic drink over his new wife the day after their wedding and set her alight for sleeping with an ex-lover on the day of their wedding, Naij reported.

The wife states she cheated because her husband slept right through their wedding reception which was supposed to be a special moment for them. This was her way of showing revnge for what he did.
She reported herself to her husband and he further poured the alcoholic drink and set her alight with a cigarette lighter before she could try escape.

He has been arrested by police and faces serious charges.
