Lagos – A student from an American university has conducted an experiment using bacteria from her vagina to make yogurt, Huffington Post reports.
Cecilia Westbrook, who is a MD/PhD student at University of Wisconsin, made the connection that the lactobacillus which is found in healthy vagina are the same bacteria that is found in yogurt. So she extracted some from her own vagina with a wooden spoon and proceeded to make her own yogurt using milk and the vaginal bacteria.

Westbrook tasted the yogurt and said it had a sour taste like Indian yogurt and it was good paired with blueberries. She said she had two bowls and has not had any bad after effects.
Although the U.S. Federal Drug Administration’s Center for Food Safety has commented that vaginal secretions are not meant to be digested and can transmit many diseases.
