Berkshire – Claire Lennon, a woman from the English town of Berkshire, would have to wait at least eight years to retrieve her £300 diamond earring from her six month chicken’s stomach, The Telegraph reports.
The earrings were given to Lennon by her partner, Adam de Marco. Sarah, their chicken, pulled her earring off her ear when it was sitting on her lap, and swallowed it.
Vets revealed that they would be unable to remove the earring from inside the chicken without putting its life in danger. Lennon has since decided to wait until the chicken dies of old age (which could be about eight years) as her daughter, Mia, is fond of the chicken.
